Clue 55

Your 55th Clue

Follow the pavers down to the sand
The answer you seek is close at hand.
A path by the water and east side of this fort
made from a substance of a different sort.
Turned out coquina was the perfect stone
to build this fortress and protect our own.
Multiple uses for the dry moat
With animals, livestock, or even a goat.
A picture displayed shows the fort in the past
Plaster used on the walls did not last
But these two colors used to brag
By the mother country are the same as the flag.

Remember this rhyme to bring you some ease…
Moss grows on the NORTH side of trees.
The Sun rises in the EAST and sets in the WEST.
The Birds know to do what’s best
In the winter SOUTH they fly!
And if something is close, it’s also NIGH.
